Shareholders of modem maker Hayes Microcomputer Products unanimously approved the merger with remote access player Access Beyond, originally announced in July. The combined company will be re-named Hayes Corporation and is expected to have a market capitalization of approximately $350 million. Final approval of the merger is expected when Access Beyond's shareholders meet next week.
