Short Take: Gigabit Ethernet standard on track

Proponents of the standard for gigabit-speed Ethernet technology announced that the final specification, delayed from early spring, is on track for final ratification in June. Outstanding issues related to the fiber-based implementation of Gigabit Ethernet have been resolved, according to the Gigabit Ethernet Alliance.
