Gateway 2000 announced Robert J. Cheng as vice president and managing director of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) business group in Dublin, Ireland. Cheng, formerly was vice president of the company's Americas marketing group. Previously, Cheng served for ten years in the data systems group of Texas Instruments. He succeeds Ian Pluthero, who left to pursue other opportunities.
