Short Take: FutureLink to buy U.K.'s KNS
Application service provider FutureLink said today it will acquire KNS Distribution, the United Kingdom-based distributor of Citrix products. The deal, expected to close by the end of the year, is worth approximately $44.3 million. Under the terms of the agreement, KNS will receive $11.9 million in cash and deferred cash consideration, and $32.4 million in FutureLink stock. For the six months ended Aug. 31, KNS' distribution operations reported revenue of about $10.5 million, showing a 50 percent increase from the same period last year.
