Short Take: FusionOne nets $80 million in funding

FusionOne, an Internet-based synchronization technology company, has secured $80 million in a mezzanine round of funding, led by Oppenheimer Funds. The company has raised a total of about $140 million, including stakes by 3Com and Hewlett-Packard. FusionOne's service allows customers to simultaneously update, or "synch," information on various devices, such as a desktop PC, handheld computer and mobile phone, via the Internet.
