Short Take: FTD files suit against <i>Mercury News</i>

Florist's Transworld Delivery (FTD) filed a suit in a federal district court yesterday to stop the San Jose Mercury News from using the name "Mercury" in its new email service, "Mercury Mail." FTD said it is concerned that the name will confuse florists who have used FTD's Mercury computerized information system for the past 20 years, as reported by Bloomberg.
