Short Take: Fox News to sign on with @Home, sources say

News Corporation's Fox News Online is expected to sign an agreement with high-speed Net access provider @Home Network under which Fox would become the "preferred provider" of news information for the No. 1 cable modem service, sources said. Fox's online news and sports units already have a similar deal with Road Runner, another Net-over-cable company. An @Home deal would make Fox one of the largest broadband programmers.
