Short Take: FlowWise adds accelerators

Start-up FlowWise Networks announced a switching add-on that can offload traffic on conventional routing hardware. The so-called "router accelerators" allow an administrator to add a FlowWise device without having to reconfigure their network. The IMS 800 and 1600 can improve the performance of conventional routers by up to 10 times, according to company claims. Both products are available now, with prices starting at $4,950.
