Fleet Bank agreed to pay portal Lycos $22.5 million dollars to market a Lycos-branded credit card across the portal. Lycos will receive a percentage of revenues generated from the card program. The card will be made available on Lycos services Tripod, WhoWhere, Angelfire, and MailCity. The Lycos credit card is a late entry into the marketing practice that already includes America Online and Yahoo branded cards, among others.
