Short Take: Expedia travel agent suffers outage

The travel agent portion of Microsoft's online travel site Expedia has been down for nearly 24 hours but should be up sometime late tonight, a Microsoft spokesman said. About 50,000 people who tried to use the service to research and book flights, hotel rooms, and rental cars have been affected so far. The problem stems from a glitch with the "wizard technology," the agents that walk users through the Expedia software.
