Short Take: Exodus reports fourth-quarter loss

Exodus Communications, a large Web hosting firm, posted a less-than-expected fourth-quarter loss. Excluding one-time items, Exodus reported a loss of $44 million, or 25 cents a share, on revenue of $101.4 million, compared with a net loss of $21.9 million, or 14 cents a share, on revenue of $21.1 million for the same period a year ago. Wall Street expected a loss of 27 cents a share for the quarter ended Dec. 31, according to First Call.
