Short Take: EDS promotes Edmonds
Professional services giant EDS has promoted Albert Edmonds to vice president of EDS's government global industry group. Edmonds, 57, was formerly COO of EDS's federal business unit and a former director of the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency. EDS said Edmonds will be responsible for the company's planned international expansion of its government business. Edmonds replaces George Newstrom. Newstrom was promoted to senior vice president for Asia-Pacific at EDS's information solutions unit, the company said.
