Forrester Research released a report predicting that the market for business-to-business Internet commerce software will reach $3.2 billion by the year 2000. The 60-fold jump will come as a result of aggressive pricing, improved services, and increased activity for midsized companies, according to the report. The report downplayed the relative importance of consumer-oriented Internet commerce.
