Digital Equipment has launched a prepaid debit card through which customers can buy telephone support service on more than 200 different computer issues. The card, available now in the United States, Canada, and certain European markets, can be purchased in time increments of 30, 60, 120, and 180 minutes. A 30 minute card costs $69, and 180 minutes costs $319. Digital said the card is designed to give businesses a way of fulfilling their "off-hour service needs."
