Digital Equipment subsidiary AltaVista Internet Software has announced AltaVista Firewall 97, which has technology that automatically beats back network attacks, and AltaVista Tunnel 97, which works with any firewall to give remote users secure access to private networks. The firewall will be available next month for $3,995 to $14,995; the tunneling software, also available next month, ranges from $99 to $2,495.
