Short Take: Davis joining Compaq's board

Compaq Computer today noted a changing of the guard. Chris Davis, chief financial officer of Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., will join the PC maker's board of directors. She replaces Frank Doyle, who's been serving on Compaq's board since 1998. Doyle will retire in April.
