Short Take: Dallas Semiconductor reports strong second quarter

Dallas Semiconductor reported net sales of $87 million for its second quarter, compared with $91 million reported for the second quarter of 1997 and $87.4 million reported for the first quarter of 1998. Net income for the quarter was $14 million, or 47 cents per share, compared with $15.3 million, or 52 cents per share, reported for the second quarter of 1997, $13.5 million, or 45 cents per share, for the first quarter of 1998.
