Short Take: CyberCash buys Tellan

Online payment company CyberCash has acquired Tellan Software, a competitor in both the Internet and offline payments market. Terms of the deal, expected to close in mid-July, were not disclosed, and Tellan's revenues were not available. In March 1998, CyberCash acquired IC Verify, which like Tellan had software for physical stores that use PCs for cash registers.
