The head of sales and marketing at desktop software maker Corel is resigning to pursue other interests, the company said. Jim Orban, executive vice president of sales and marketing, is leaving the company effective Dec. 31. "Jim has been instrumental in charting a strong sales course, a return to profitability and has been a leader in bringing together Corel's sales and marketing teams," Corel chief executive officer Michael Cowpland said in a statement. The Ottawa, Canada-based software company said Orban's departure is not related to any performance or financial-related issues.
