CompuServe has upgraded its worldwide network to support 33.6-kbps dial-up access. CompuServe is testing 56-kbps access, evaluating both US Robotics' x2 technology and Rockwell's K56Flex protocol. CompuServe made 56-kbps service using x2 technology available at a higher rate to U.S. users in March.
