Compaq promoted David Cabello to the position of senior vice president, general counsel and secretary effective January 1. Cabello, nine-year veteran of the company, is currently vice president, assistant general counsel for the Compaq Business Group. He will replace retiring Senior Vice President Bill Fargo.
