Netscape Communications will include Jack Hammer, a utility from Sausage Software, in the retail version of the Communicator software suite, according to Reuters. Jack Hammer tries to access busy FTP or Web sites in the background while the user does other things. Once Jack Hammer makes a connection, it opens a separate browser and displays the Web page or downloads the requested file.
