Short Take: Cisco Systems partners with ADC

Cisco Systems and ADC Telecommunications announced a pact to develop cable-based products that support voice using the Internet Protocol, or IP. ADC plans to license Cisco's NetWorks set of software technologies for its soon-to-be-released IP-over-cable based systems. The ADC equipment is scheduled to ship in the second half of next year and will be designed to interoperate with Cisco's recently announced line of broadband cable routing devices.
