Cisco Systems announced new capabilities within its internetworking operating system, or IOS, software that tie Internet Protocol and asynchronous transfer mode-based schemes to class-of-service features. This class-of-service function allows network managers to manage and prioritize traffic flows across their networks. The new IOS feature is available now for use within all Cisco 7500 series routing devices.
