Networking software provider Cisco Systems and Comcast have forged a $1 million deal under which Cisco will supply the cable television company with cable modem systems and universal broadband routers. Comcast is rolling out one of the first Internet access services via Data-Over-Cable Service Interface Specifications (DOCSIS) standards. Cisco's equipment will be integral to Comcast's broadband infrastructure.
