Short Take: Cisco, Connectiv to offer DSL service

Cisco Systems and Connectiv Communications, a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC), have teamed to offer digital subscriber line (DSL) service to Connectiv's customers in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. The companies, using Cisco central office and customer premise equipment, expect to roll out the high-speed Net access technology in early 1999. The companies will first offer a pilot program in northern Delaware.
