Cisco Systems added support for asynchronous transfer mode, or ATM, technology to its mid-range line of routing devices. New modules for the 3600 series routers allow users to add support for voice, video, and data traffic using OC-3 links. The enhancements are targeted at medium to large-sized offices and small Internet service providers (ISPs). The new modules are priced from $6,000 and are available now.
