Short Take: Cabletron to release new SmartSwitch routers

Network equipment provider Cabletron Systems will soon release a new line of SmartSwitch routers that feature "load balancing," or the ability to distribute data transactions evenly. The new line of routers, called Smart Load Balancers, will ship in November with prices starting at $17,995.
