Networking equipment provider 3Com and Taiwanese ISP Hoshin Gigamedia Center plan to offer broadband Net access in Taiwan. The companies, which have been testing the high-speed cable modem service since September, plan to serve as many as 3.4 million subscribers, or about 60 percent of the cable households in Taiwan. Hoshin is a subsidiary of the Koos Group.
