Short Take: C-Cube profits are up

Digital video maker C-Cube Microsystems reported net income of $15.4 million, or 41 cents per share for its first fiscal quarter of 1997, up from $13.6 million, 38 cents a share, for the same quarter last year. Revenues were $94.1 million, up from the $68.1 million last year, but down one percent from last quarter. During the quarter, C-Cube introduced several advanced digital video products and components to upgrade earlier products.
