Short Take: Buena Vista appoints general manager for Go.com
Buena Vista Internet Group (BVIG) executives said that Kevin Mayer has been named executive vice president and general manager of the Go.com portal. Mayer will begin work November 17, when Disney's transaction to acquire the rest of Infoseek is expected to close. Most recently, Mayer was executive vice president of television network and broadband products and international at BVIG, where he oversaw ABC Internet Group, ESPN Internet Group, and BVIG's international businesses.
