Short Take: Breakaway Solutions joins Russell 2000

Breakaway Solutions, a Web consulting firm and application hosting provider, said it has been added to the Russell 2000 stock index. The Russell 2000 index is a subset of the Russell 3000, which measures the performance of the 3000 largest U.S.-based companies ranked by market capitalization. Boston-based Breakaway, which went public last October, will be included in the index immediately.
