BMC Software will update its systems management software, called Patrol 3.3, with enhanced security and full support of the Windows management infrastracture. Patrol 3.3 monitors and detects problems in operating systems, applications, server hardware, and databases from a single console. The product, available April 16, costs $785 for the Unix version and $695 for the NT version.
