Blue Lobster Software has released two Web-to-mainframe connectivity tools. Stingray 3270 Software Development Kit and Mako Server are written entirely in Java using JavaBeans components, said the company. The kit allows developers to build Java applets for connecting to mainframe applications, and is priced at $395. Mako Server provides mapping of CORBA interfaces to IBM's CICS mainframe transaction monitor. Pricing has not been announced.
