Short Take: Beyond.com spins MP3 center

Online software store Beyond.com has jumped on the MP3 bandwagon, launching a site devoted to information and products related to the sound format. Through its MP3 Center, Beyond.com will offer hardware, such as the Diamond Rio player, and software that allows users to encode MP3 files and save them onto CDs. The site also includes a glossary of MP3-related terms and some sample downloadable songs.
