Bay Networks announced a new strategy to tie networked branch offices and other outlying network components to services based on IP. Dubbed the Access Cornerstone, the initiative incorporates VPN and voice-over-IP services. The company also announced support for Web-based management and RMON capabilities within its routers and a new 10/100 mbps option for its branch office routing device.
