Short Take: Bay adds VP

New Bay Networks CEO David House is wasting no time in adding new faces to the upper echelons of the company. The latest hire is William R. Hawe, who will serve as the vice president of architecture after a similar stint at Digital Equipment. Hawe held the position of chief technical officer for Digital's network product business unit since 1993. He will be in charge of all network architecture strategies, all technology development, and all strategic technology alliances for Bay Networks. Hawe is the latest in a series of executive comings and goings at the struggling networking company.
