Axent Technologies' $245 million acquisition of firewall vendor Raptor Systems has been approved by shareholders of both companies. The two Internet security companies will operate under the Axent name, as Axent hopes to become a full-service supplier of enterprise security offerings. Axent will take a one-time charge of about $17 million for the merger.
