Short Take: Avant shares dip on CFO's resignation

Submicron integrated circuit design automation (ICDA) technology developer Avant has named Linda Chinn head of finance and administration, succeeding former CFO John Huyett, who resigned from the company to become CFO for Magellan Systems Corporation, a privately-held satellite communications and navigation company. Avant's stock fell 1-15/16 to 13-13/16 on the news of Huyett's resignation, but since has recovered some of that loss.
