ATI Technologies unveiled its Radeon 256 graphics processor at Microsoft's annual Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHec) in New Orleans. Among other features, ATI says the chip contains 30 million transistors. The chip will compete against graphics chips from rival Nvidia for placement inside high-end PCs.
