Short Take: AST Computer introduces servers

AST Computer announced a new version of its Manhattan S6200 server. Designed for small-to medium-sized business, the server comes with up to 1GB of memory, up to six 9GB hot swap drive bays, and a 200-MHz Intel Pentium Pro processor with 512KB cache, as well as Intel's LANDesk Server Management software. AST also announced the Manhattan Commerce Pro server, which comes with Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 and software for setting up email and Web site editing. The S6200 Series starts at $6,496; the Commerce Pro starts at $8,451. Both will be available in April.
