Short Take: Ascend increases BlueStar funds

Networking firm Ascend Communications has extended a credit line worth up to $101 million to digital subscriber line (DSL) provider BlueStar Communications. The credit line will be used by BlueStar in its ongoing efforts to expand and build out its digital network throughout the southeastern United States, the company said.
