Short Take: Ariba partners with Latin American online exchange

Business-to-business e-commerce software maker Ariba struck a deal with Asista, an online marketplace for goods and services in Latin America. The companies today said they completed building a Web-based, hosted, online marketplace for businesses to buy and sell their goods and services online. Grainger, a North American provider of maintenance, repair and operating supplies and services, and Key Quimica, a Mexican manufacturer and distributor of maintenance, cleaning and sanitation equipment, are the first two companies to conduct transactions on the Asista business-to-business marketplace.
