Ongoing negotiations to acquire operating system and hardware vendor Be is expected to lead the agenda for the regularly scheduled meeting of Apple Computer's board of directors this Wednesday. The two parties have been discussing actual numbers since November 1, but are miles apart on the buyout figure. Apple threw out a figure of around $100 million, but Be is looking for a price tag of up to five times that number.
