Short Take: Apple layoff poll results

NEWS.COM Poll results: Do you think Apple's overhaul will put the company on the right track? Apple Computer's layoffs of 2,700 permanent employees and 1,400 temporary and part-time workers is supposed to save the company enough to regain profitability by September. The cuts were not as deep as some expected, but most of the 519 NEWS.COM readers who responded to the poll think the layoffs, combined with a newly reorganized product lineup, will do the trick.
