Zero-Knowledge Systems, which develops tools to help consumers surf the Web anonymously, has debuted an updated, free version of its software. Dubbed Freedom 2.0, the downloadable software lets consumers manage cookies and filter online advertisements, among other privacy controls. Zero-Knowledge also has introduced a faster version of its premium anonymous Web service, for $49.95, that creates identities for Web surfers that are impossible to link back to the owner, the company says.
