Short Take: Andersen Consulting to change name

Andersen Consulting will formally change its name to Accenture and will no longer operate as Andersen Consulting starting Jan. 1, 2001. The move follows an independent arbitrator's August ruling to formally separate Andersen Consulting from its Big Five accounting parent Arthur Andersen. Accenture will also launch an aggressive campaign to promote the name change.
