Short Take: AMS Tech ships MMX notebook

AMS Tech announced the TravelPro 2010 and 188, notebook computers featuring Intel's 166-MHz Pentium processors with MMX technology. The 2010 features a Opti Viper N+ chipset, 32MB of high-speed EDO RAM, a 13.3-inch screen, a built-in 33.6 fax-modem, SIR fast wireless infrared port, and high-speed serial and parallel ports. It costs an estimated $5,700. The 188 has a 12.1-inch large presentation displays, available in both SVGA dual-scan and SVGA active-matrix color, and costs between $3,395 and $3,895.
