Short Take: Adobe, TLC settle infringement suit

Adobe Systems and The Learning Company settled a lawsuit brought by Adobe for copyright infringement on some font software programs. TLC will pay Adobe $2 million in damages representing profits and interest, as well as reimbursement of over $1 million in attorney's fees and legal costs. TLC also agreed to stop selling certain font products. TLC had licensed the fonts from Southern Software, which remains a defendant in the lawsuit.
