Short Take: Adobe issues dividend

Adobe Systems announced it will give investors in its venture capital fund one dividend, or share of common stock, from software firm Siebel Systems. One dividend will be issued for every 300 shares of Adobe common stock held by investors as of October 31, 1997. The dividend will be distributed on December 1, 1997. Adobe invested in Siebel in 1995 as part of Adobe's program to develop relationships with start-ups working in emerging technologies and markets.
